FALL COVINGTON, Va.
— Burger King will open a $7-million Burger King restaurant in Falls Park in the next two years, the company said Thursday.
The announcement came as the company was in the midst of a $12 million renovation of its new facility in Falls Garden, Virginia.
The $10 million expansion was announced in October.
Burger King plans to open a second Burger King in Falls Town, Virginia, which is located about five miles from its current location in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
“This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build on the momentum we’ve built in Falls, Virginia,” said Dan Reiss, vice president of Burger King North America.
“Burger Kings are uniquely positioned to serve customers who are hungry for quality food and fresh, local ingredients.
Our restaurant will have a mix of dining options, including a selection of salads and sandwiches, as well as a new breakfast menu and a variety of breakfast and lunch options for families.”
Burger Queen will continue to operate a similar location in Arlington, Virginia for the next five years, Reiss said.
Burge King has been opening restaurants in Falls since the late 1990s and has a long history in the area.
In the early 2000s, it opened its first U.S. restaurant in Virginia, the new location in downtown Falls.
Burkle and Burger King also operate in New York, Washington, D.C., Texas and Hawaii.
