Costco has opened an office at its Colorado Springs, Colorado, store for a short-term staffing role, the retailer announced.
Costco’s hiring announcement came after a survey released by the National Association of Home Health Care Providers showed that fewer than 2% of home health aides were employed in grocery stores, a number that has decreased by more than two-thirds since 2009.
In a statement on its website, the chain said it was pleased to have a local partner who understands its values and can support our efforts to attract and retain the best talent for our home health care team.
Costa Rica’s Costa Rica Home Care Association, which has close ties to the chain, was looking for a home care provider who would have at least five years of experience, according to the association’s website.
Costas Home Care Associates is based in the Dominican Republic and operates a homecare provider training program.
