The internet company has teamed up with the Atlanta Beltline Trail, a pedestrian-friendly walkway along the Beltline that runs through the heart of the city.
The Atlanta BeltLine Trail is the largest pedestrian-only walkway on the BeltLine, with more than 7,000 steps and more than 3,200 routes, according the trail’s website.
It is open to the public for up to three hours daily.
Panera Bread, which is owned by Whole Foods, is a regular fixture at the trailhead.
“Our commitment to the Beltlines environment extends beyond our food, including our commitment to our guests, our commitment as a family, our mission to provide affordable, quality food,” said CEO Dave Kowalski.
I feel very fortunate to be working with Panera Bread on the Atlanta Trail.
We have been so honored to be a part of this exciting project, and we are proud to be able to provide a service to our community, and help others find a healthier way to eat, with our food.
Panera, the parent company of Panera Macaroni & Co., will also provide a “health food delivery” service for the trail.
“The Atlanta Trail is a collaboration between the Atlanta Department of Transportation and the Atlanta City Council.
We are thrilled to be partnering with the Beltliner Trail in this way, and hope to inspire more families to embrace walking in their neighborhoods,” said Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.
